Eric Oddleifson was raised in St. Albert and continues to call St. Albert home with his wife, Collette and their son, Evan. His strong sense of family and community enabled him to start his own law firm in St. Albert in 1987, as a sole practitioner. In 1992 Martin Kaup joined the firm and together they have created a successful Law Firm that has continued to provide excellent service. Eric received his Law Degree at the University of Alberta in 1976. His law practice, now transferred to Matthew Kaup, focused on Real Estate Law, Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Personal Directives and Estate Administration Law.
His 37 years of legal experience taught Eric that working in smaller areas of law allows him to provide a personal touch, and getting to know his clients allows him to give them the best service possible. Along with his successful law practice, Eric enjoyed getting involved in the community. He has volunteered with many organizations such as: Friends of the Muse Heritage Museum, LoSeCa, Argyl Velodrome Association, Bio Ethics Committee at the Sturgeon Hospital, Mission Hill Village Condo Board, Parish Pastoral Council, and the Icelandic Canadian Club of Edmonton.
Eric is a patron of the Arts. He loves anything musical and enjoys attending the Arden theater to support many artists and musicians. Prior to Eric “settling down” and becoming a lawyer, Eric traveled around the world, visiting and immersing himself in different cultures.
